CALENDAR FOR August 2026

8/2, 8/9, 8/16, 8/23:  Canvassing our neighbors in White County, from 1 - 4 pm.  Meet at the Cleveland Library, 10 Colonial Drive, Cleveland, GA for training and assignment areas and then back after canvassing.  If you don't want to talk to registered Democrats, you can drive or compile statistics- all efforts are important and appreciated!

8/7, 8/14, 8/21, 8/28:  sign-waving in Cleveland, GA., 4 - 6 pm, at the corner of Main Street and Helen Highway in front of Ingles.  Bring your own sign or wave one of ours. Join a great group of compassionate citizens every Friday, feel empowered and help us make a difference! 

8/15: Simple Breakfast at the Sautee Nacoochee Cultural Center, 8-10 am.  Come enjoy a free pancake, sausage, juice and coffee breakfast with friends and neighbors- donations appreciated.

8/16 - 22:  Family Promise meals- donate an evening meal to those currently being helped by Family Promise in Cleveland.Contact Gary Burrows at (904) 535-5460 or email him at garyg.burrows@comcast.net for

8/23:  Candidate meet and greet from 2 to 4 pm. at Yonah Mountain Vineyards.  The Northeast Georgia Democratic Alliance and the Northeast Georgia Federation of Democratic Women will host state, federal, and local candidates and attendees will be able to ask them questions, and hear their plans for a blue Georgia. 

8/26:  Free food distribution at the First Presbyterian Church, 147 N. Main Street, Cleveland.  Come help pack and distribute food to whomever is in need.  9:15 am to 1:00 pm.  Volunteers have a true sense of camaraderie at this event and recipients are very appreciative.

8/27:  Next meeting of the White County Democratic Committee, 6:30 pm- location will be announced later. Don't forget your dollars for the 50/50 raffle!
