4/27- 4/28:Televised debates between state-wide primary candidates on your Georgia Public Broadcasting channel.
4/29:Free food distribution at the First Presbyterian Church, 147 N. Main Street, Cleveland from 9:15 am to 1:00 pm. Volunteers help pack food which is then distributed to those in need that drive through.
5/7: White County Chamber of Commerce Block Party, at Freedom Park, 66 East Kytle Street, Cleveland from 3 - 7 pm..
Once again, the White County Chamber of Commerce will host their Block Party on Thursday, May 7th at Freedom Park in Cleveland. The annual event will go on from 3 to 7 pm at 66 East Kytle Street in downtown Cleveland. The White County Democratic Committee will have a booth at the Block Party th help share our values and viewpoints with the community and hopefully help dispel some humorous and wildly inaccurate rumors about Democrats in general. The Block Party is a chance for area businesses and organizations to introduce themselves to the citizens of White County and to network and promote their services. Over 60 businesses and organizations will be participating and there will be food, music, games, prizes and give-aways. It will be a relaxing afternoon at a neighborly event- look for us and come say hi!
5/16: Simple Breakfast at the Sautee Nacoochee Cultural Center, 8-10 am. Enjoy a free pancake breakfast with friends and neighbors- donations appreciated.
5/17: Grateful Dems BBQ Fundraiser, Sunday, May 17th, historic gym at the Sautee Nacoochee Cultural Center, 283 Highway 255 North, Sautee Nacoochee from 4 - 7 pm.
The White County Democratic Committee wants to invite you and your family to a delicious and fun event that will greatly benefit the WCDC. We will be hosting a BBQ dinner with great food, entertainment, raffles, auctions and merchandise for sale. Blue-minded progressives across the 9th District of northeast Georgia are invited which includes the Northeast Georgia Democratic Alliance of Banks, Hall, Jackson, Stephens, and White counties and the neighboring counties of Habersham, Lumpkin, Union, Rabun and Towns counties.
The fundraiser is planned for Sunday, May 17, 2026 from 4 to 7 pm. at the historic gym of the Sautee Nacoochee Cultural Center. Tickets are $15 and to purchase and/or donate please scan the QR code below. This event will be a great opportunity to meet your fellow Democrats and liberal-minded folks, have a delicious BBQ meal, take a chance on winning a raffle or auction for desirable items, or purchase stylish merchandise. The White County Democratic Committee will put the FUN in fundraising! 5/19: Election Day for the Primary General Election.

5/28: Next meeting of the White County Democratic Committee- location TBD. We will be collecting donations of toiletries and paper products for Family Promise and don't forget your dollars for the 50/50 raffle!
